You're A Tree, Not A Plant

Matt Richards

Isaiah 61:3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

You know you need to be planted by the Lord.

Have you ever had a pot plant, you open it up to find its got 'Pot Bound'.

Where its roots can go no further. The results is that the plant doesn't grow or flourish.

In our Christian walk we aren't meant to be in small containers going from church to church. But to be planted, so we can get our roots down and bear fruit.

You are not a are a tree.

Many people are 'spiritually pot bound.' You were never designed to be part of an audience, in a container but to be fruitful. Every Christian should have an outlet to grow and to produce fruit.

Are you pot bound?

Father forgive me for allowing myself to be limited. I want to be planted by You so that I can be a tree not a plant. Break me free from all constraints and plant me again in Jesus' name, Amen.
