1 Timothy 4:14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.
----- Last few nights we have been playing 'robot wars' in our house. It's a fun game that Caleb got for Christmas last year. He kind of packed it away a while ago, under his bed and then forgot about it. All of a sudden the gift has been re-discovered and has taken on a new lease of life and we are loving playing with it. You know the Holy Spirit may have given you gifts last year or even many years ago, that like Caleb you have not used, forgotten about and stored under the bed of your life. Its time to recover all that you have been given, in fact all the Church has been given for that matter, and pick them up and put them into action. What gifts did you get for Christmas last year? (can you remember?) Are you still loving it and using it? Likewise what did the Holy Spirit bring you in gifts spiritually in your life:? [tongues, interpretation, miracles, healing, faith, word of knowledge, word of wisdom, discernment of spirits, prophecy.] Have you been using them, or have you neglected the spiritual gift you have been given? When was the last time for example you gave a word in tongues. When was the last time you prophecied? Prayer:
Father forgive me for burying the precious gifts you have given me. I choose to pick up the gifts of the Holy Spirit and use them for Your Glory today in Jesus Name Amen.
