Matthew 17:7-8 But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and have no fear.” And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.
Here the disciples were on the mountain and saw the heavens open, God spoke and Jesus was transformed. They didn't know what to do they were overwhelmed. A holy fear came upon them.
But in all that experience after they got up off the floor they lifted up their eyes and saw no one but Jesus only.
Whether I am in a glorious experience or a gorious experience, I need to lift up my eyes and see Jesus only.
Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face, and the things of this world will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.
I need to turn my eyes upon Jesus no matter what I'm going through good or bad.
I need to focus on Him. The church needs to focus on Jesus at this time. To turn away from all the media, all the opinions, all the anx and fix its eyes on Jesus.
Father thank You that You are still in control. Jesus I choose not to concentrate on politics, the media, or opinion but I choose to turn my eyes towards You today in Jesus' name, Amen.
