Tired? Beaten Up? Are You In A Union?

Matt Richards

Ephesians 6:10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.

Can I be strong in the Lord?

Well if the bible says I can, then I can.

So how do I be strong in the Lord? The answer is in the question. It's in the Lord. My strength is in Him. It comes from union with Him. As I have said recently, from abiding in the vine, from communion with Him.

In spending time with God, in waiting I renew my strength. In being close to Jesus I draw from His strength, His life, His resources. That strength that is boundless.

The verse goes on to say, put on the whole armour of God which He also supplies. The answer is always Jesus.

He supplies all that I need for the battle. When I am tired, when I am weary, when people speak all sorts of evil against me I am glad I am in a union.

Tired? Worn out? Beaten up? The secret to being strong in the Lord is living your life as part of a union.

Prayer:

Father Thank You I am in a union with You. I choose not to represent myself and wear myself out but I choose to abide in You and draw strength from You .And as such I am strong in You. Thank You that my strength and my source is You, so I put You on today and I draw close to You. Right now I receive Your strength and life flowing through me in Jesus' Name Amen.
