Exodus 33:16 'How will anyone know that you look favorably on me—on me and on your people—if you don’t go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.”
I find it hard to imagine life now without the Holy Spirit and without God's presence. I think to myself, 'how on earth do people cope with life, trials, situations, etc, without God's presence?'
I feel compassion. With this perspective, when people in the world do and say the things they do and say, you have to understand that most(not all) have NO experience of the presence of God. What kind of life is that?
And when I see Christians trying to do Christianity without desire, pursuit, and experience of God's presence, I Also wonder...how? His presence is amazing.
The mark of His favour is His presence. Like Moses said here on the mountain, 'how will others know that you have favoured us if your presence doesn't go with us?'
His presence among us is what sets us apart. We are different because He's with us.
Maybe you need to know God's presence today. Maybe you are unsure if God's favour is with you and you need to experience His blessing on your life. Ask Him to reveal His presence to you.
He said He will show mercy and compassion to those whom He chooses. If you're born again and your faith is in Jesus Christ today, it means you are chosen. You qualify to enjoy His presence and favour.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your presence and Your favour. Thank You I don't have to go through life without You. I'm grateful to have Your presence in my life, let me know You more today in Jesus' name. Amen
