The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly (The Good, The Bad And The Glory) (Part 2)

Matt Richards

Genesis 50:20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.

Joseph really went through it, he really did. Rejected and despised by his brothers, he was thrown into a pit, sold as a slave, accused of rape, thrown into prison, forgotten by those he helped.

If anyone could have been angry, could have been upset with the family or church it's Joseph. But he wasn't.

But then promoted from prison to palace and second in command to Egypt.

When his family came in need, instead of telling them off, having it out with them or telling them where to go, he recognised God's hand on the situation. Even the evil situation he had been through was being turned for good.

He not only forgave, but he blessed his family and his people.

He recognised what happened to him was evil, but recognised God used it for good. His good and theirs.

You may have been rejected by family, church even. You need to forgive.

You need to recognise what happened was evil. But know God can turn it around for good.

Even their good. You can be a blessing to those that have wanted you harmed.

If we stopped the story of Joseph in the chapter of the pit, in court, or prison we would miss the story.

The story, your story is not over. God will turn that which was meant for evil to be used for good.

Turn the page, carry on.

It was never just about your story, your salvation, your redemption. God is setting you free to see a whole people group, including those that hated you get saved.

Trust God to change your ugly for His Glory.

The good the bad and the Glory.

Prayer:

Father I feel like I'm going through some stuff. Thank You that the story is not over. Use everything bad that's happening to me for Your Glory in Jesus' name amen.
