The danger of delay

Matt Richards

Exodus 32:1 When the people saw how long it was taking Moses to come back down the mountain, they gathered around Aaron. “Come on,” they said, “make us some gods who can lead us. We don’t know what happened to this fellow Moses, who brought us here from the land of Egypt.”

----- Ephesians 1:10 And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. ----- Delay is dangerous. Moses was up the mountain and was taking forever. God's people became insecure, couldn't wait and made gods for themselves. Between the promise and the fulfillment of the promise is something called the process. The wilderness, the wait, the delay. People fall into sin, take things into their own hands in this dangerous place: called delay. Promised a husband or wife..but can't wait. Promised a ministry or call but can't wait. Moses killed a man because he took things into his own hands and couldn't wait. In an instant world of gratification; we need to wait. Trust God in the process, in the delay. A delay is not a denial. Don't miss God's best for you today, in a place called delay. You are not forgotten. He has a plan. It will come to pass. Prayer:

Father I choose to trust You. You have a plan. Because I am united with Jesus I have an inheritance and it will all work out in Jesus name amen.
