On Saturday night I had a dream, and in this dream there was a lady from our church and a dog came and bit her on her leg. Although she wasn't distressed, I went over and began trying to get the dog off of her leg.
When I finally got her free from the jaws of this dog, I was surprised to see that there was not even a single mark on her leg, where the teeth of this dog should have caused damage.
Then, I looked at my own leg and discovered that the bite-marks were on my leg instead of hers. I was wounded and she was totally fine.
The following morning the Lord spoke to me and showed me that it's exactly what Jesus had done for us on the cross.
When satan comes to bite us, and tries to latch on to us and sink his teeth in, the bite-marks go on Jesus. He has taken our bite-marks upon himself.
When sickness comes to latch on your life, you need to know that Jesus took our sickness on the cross, we don't need to carry it. When a satanic attack rears its ugly head, know that Jesus took every bite mark upon Himself!
He took ALL sickness and disease on Himself. He took defeat and failure on Himself. He he took regrets and discouragement, insults, and torments, depression and sorrows, guilt and shame, sin and poverty, fear and anxiety, bitterness and pain....ALL OF IT He carried on the cross of Calvary.
Because He carried it, we no longer have to carry it. Theres no point both us and Him carrying it. He has Paid it all, and I have scripture to prove it!
Isaiah 53:4-6 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all."
Hallelujah to the King of Kings.
How do we respond to such wonderful promises and such amazing grace?
Simply believe it. Simply recive it. Cast your burdens and your cares on Him because He cares for you. Give Him your sickness, your sin and your shame, failures and flaws, sorrows and pains, and recive His power and grace.
Walk in peace, joy and perfect soundness and show the world what a mighty saviour Jesus is.
Prayer:
Lord thank You that You have taken the bite-marks of Satan for me. Thank You for carrying my sin, my sickness, my shame, my sorrow, grief and the scars of my past upon Yourself. Thank You that by His stripes (the lashes of the whip that He took before the cross) we are healed! And that by His blood we are washed clean of sin and redeemed from every curse. In Jesus' name amen.
