Stay Alert

Being locked down can bring out the worse in people. Dont be so distracted fighting each other that you get devoured. Devil's tactics, stay alert.

2 Samuel 17:1 I will come upon him while he is weary and discouraged and throw him into a panic, and all the people who are with him will flee.
1 Peter 5:8 Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You're not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It's the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith.

You know at times of feeling weary and discouraged the devil will use fear and attack you. He wants to destroy your walk with Jesus and destroy you. He waits for you to be tired, he waits for you to be discouraged; then he attacks. (The Amplified says, when he is 'exhausted and weak' I will come upon him.)

You know we need to stay alert at this time. Stay alert if we feel weary. Stay alert when we feel discouraged, stay alert when we are exhausted and weak; because that's when we are most vulnerable.

The devil doesn't always attack on our best and strongest days. No, he often waits for our worse days.

In this lockdown: 'stay alert' to in your Christian walk. Stay alert to the devils tricks.

Application: If you're feeling weary, discouraged today make sure you spend time with Jesus. In prayer, in the Word and in worship. Stay alert.

Prayer:

Father I have become weary and discouraged, I feel weak and exhausted. I choose today to wait on You .Refresh and restore me so I can stay alert in Jesus' name Amen.
