1 corinthians 14:18 I thank God that I speak in tongues more than any of you.
Last night on the discipleship course we looked at being baptised in the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues.
I can truly say that being filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues is the one thing that has affected my Christian journey more than anything else.
Affected it in such a positive way. I was filled with the Holy Spirit at a Mt Zion youth camp at age 16. It changed my life totally. And I am so very grateful to those who believed in the baptism and orchestrated this.
Before this time I was shy, introverted, and lacked confidence. It was like I attended church but it was more intellectual than personal. Like being a spectator looking at others. Looking at people eating a family meal; but being on the outside staring in through the windows.
When I got filled everything became alive to me.
My bible came alive and personal , prayer came alive and meaningful. I was no longer a spectator in worship but was loving Jesus.
I was now sitting at the family table eating the feast.
If it wasn't for this experience, this gift even, I don't think I would be in ministry today, I don't think I would be walking with Jesus either.

Father thank You for the Holy Spirit. Thank You for the gift of tongues in my life. Help me to pray in tongues, sing in tongues, give a word in tongues and like Paul speak in tongues more than everyone today and this week in Jesus name amen.
