Shouting In The Streets

Aiden Matthams

Proverbs 1:20-21 "Wisdom shouts in the streets. She cries out in the public square. She calls to the crowds along the main street, to those gathered in front of the city gate:..."

Recently we've been doing church on the beach and church on the streets! I really love what God is doing right now. You know I've known people to frown upon street preaching, like it's an embarrassment or a dated method of evangelism that doesn't work. But I believe the bible still works. God's way still works, and is still relevant. If it was good enough for the prophets, good enough for Jonah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Peter, Paul, Phillip, and of course, our ultimate standard, Jesus The Son of The Most High God, then it's good enough for us today. In the words of Reinhardt Bonke, an unpreached gospel is a powerless gospel. We need to preach it. And if we really want to see the lost saved, we can't just wait for them to come to us, because evidently, it doesn't always work that way. Wisdom shouts in the streets. Wisdom makes a noise and gets in ya face with the Gospel. Wisdom lifts up Jesus in the neighborhood. I believe it's time we used God's wonderful wisdom, and we crack on with it. Salvation in the streets! This is what we've been praying for. God just gave us a push out the door in to the city. Thank God for His wisdom. Prayer:

God thank You for Your wisdom that shouts in the streets. We want to be aligned with what You're doing. We pray for boldness, and we pray for opportunities. Most importantly, we pray for souls. Give us Norwich Lord, give us Yarmouth, give us this city, give us the addicts, give us the drunkards, give us the sick, we want them saved. Let Your power and Your glory be seen! In Jesus' name, Amen.
