Roots And Fruits:Founded On Jesus (Part 4)

FB Memory 15th July 2020

Colossians 2:6 As you have therefore received Christ, [even] Jesus the Lord, [so] walk (regulate your lives and conduct yourselves) in union with and conformity to Him. Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving.

It's all about Jesus. Being planted, being rooted into Him.

When we have our faith planted in buildings, structures, ministries alone we can miss it.

People may disappoint, denominations can falter; but Jesus never fails.

I need, you need, we need to be continually founded, planted, and rooted in Jesus. The author and finisher of our faith.

When Jesus is the centre of our lives it makes the difference. If a pastor falls into sin or a church closes, many people can become ship wrecked.

But when people have built their life on Jesus they will never be disappointed or backslide, no matter what storm comes their way.

My job as a minister is to lift up Jesus, is to help connect you with Jesus. I can't do it for you. You have to decide to build your life on Him.

It's not about me, Radical Church, ministry, evangelism, or miracles. Truly it's about Jesus, and being grounded and rooted in Him.

Is your foundation Jesus?

Because if not, no matter what you build, it will not hold the test of time. Only what's built on Jesus will last.

Prayer:

Father forgive us for loving other stuff even ministry more than You. We chose today to be founded and planted and rooted in You in Jesus' name amen.
