Power Of Writing It Down

Matt Richards

Habakkuk 2:2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

You know it helps me to write stuff down. If I hadn't have written it down, I would have forgotten my bike had an MOT this morning. Here the Lord is saying to His prophet, write the vision down. I don't pretend to understand everything about this, but I just know there is power in writing stuff. God is saying to you wrote it down. Sarah Clarke emphasised this when she was with us. A few years ago I found a yellowed piece of paper where I had written some vision down. Some stuff that was in my heart at the time for my future. Probably wrote it eighteen years ago. So I had forgotten it, but read it and it said some stuff right there. Stuff like, Pastor a church for the homeless, have four children, write some Christian worship tunes. I was like my God some of this stuff has happened already. (And some is yet to happen.) But you know there is power in vision. But there is even greater power when we actually write it down. You know in the Hope Mentorship course we were talking about: what's your purpose? So how about you.. What are your dreams? What's your vision? What's your purpose? Dare you to write it down, so the angels can run with it. Prayer:

Father thank You for fresh Holy Sprit vision. I choose this week to write down what You are saying. I choose to write down my dreams and vision. Thank You that in an appointed time it will come. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
