Isaiah 9:6 For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace.
Love this story from World War One (one hundred and thee years ago).
Over One Hundred Thousand troops stopped killing each other for a truce at Christmas.
They sang carols, greeted each other, exchanged gifts, and even played football.
If they can do it why can't we?
Many people at war today, not physically but emotionally and spiritually. Fighting, warring with others and even themselves. Christmas can bring out the best and worst in people.
The beauty of Christmas is that no matter the aggro that's going on around us we can celebrate the Prince of Peace.
So why not call a truce to all war. All blaming, anger, unkind words, and embrace peace.
'But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,'
This Christmas say no to war and embrace the Prince of Peace.
Prayer:
Father forgive me for warring with everyone even myself. I choose a truce. I choose peace. Thank You for peace now in my life and bless all those that are against me in Jesus' Name, Amen.
