They kept telling me about Tobiah’s good deeds, and then they told him everything I said. And Tobiah kept sending threatening letters to intimidate me.

Many people at this time were convinced Nehemiah was wrong and believed Tobiah, the prophets, and the nobles.
Some believed and had agreement because they were related in some way. Others believed wrongly because Tobiah had done good works.
Let me tell you even if people are relatives or related to someone in church, or your family, even if people have done lots of charitable good works don't believe them. Don't just join with them.
We need discernment.
Here's an example for someone reading this today.
The freemasons have done lots of charitable deeds.
Many people have been blessed by them financially. ( Fact). Many people's friends and family are members so they become hoodwinked to join.
Undiscerning they build wrong aliances, swear oaths and eventually...inadvertently they serve Lucifer.
Here's the two most common sell outs to the call of God (to not building what your called to build with God):
Relationships
Money
No matter what your family or relations say, or boyfriend or girlfriend says, if it doesn't match the bible ignore it. (The crowd can be wrong)
No matter how much money, what job prospects you're offered, or someone has means nothing.
Many churches and individual's have fallen for these two influencers.
Never sell out, never compromise because of relationships or money.
As far as I'm concerned, God is my provision and the churches provision. I don't need money with strings. Don't need anybody to put in a word for us. Not gonna be controlled into not preaching truth for fear of losing them. Just not playing.
I cannot be bought, I cannot be influenced by good works. All threats just don't work on me.
Let my loyalty, let your loyalty be Jesus only.
Never sell out.
You can never sell out for anything when you're already sold out for Jesus.
Prayer:
Father I have in the past been influenced by relationships and money forgive me. Holy Spirit I ask for discernment that I might please You not people in Jesus' name amen.
