1 Timothy 1:19 Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. Hymenaeus and Alexander are two examples. I threw them out and handed them over to Satan so they might learn not to blaspheme God.

In my lifetime i have seen many, many, people that have been shipwrecked .They wandered off course. Didn't believe the bible and ignored warnings of their spirit and of leaders assigned to their life.
In fact they have deliberately turned a deaf ear to people and to their own consciences.
Before long they were ' too spiritual' for church, had a different revelation, and ended up wanderers, orphans and eventually losing their faith.
Compromised sexually, putting other things before God, and even denying the faith. I've seen it all. Someone who has seen mighty miracles previously: now even questioning if their is a God.
It all starts with a lack of personal devotion time. Lack of prayer, lack of worship, lack of bible time. It leads to a relaxing a grip on thing's which are fundamental.
Before long that person is living a double life, a life of deception and compromise. They then go to church less n less (coz they don't need it as "we are the church not a building" often is their mantra.)
And before long they are shipwrecked.
You know if your loosing your grip on stuff; can i encourage you to live a life as a Jesus Cling On...
Cling onto your time spent daily with Jesus.
Cling onto reading and believing the bible.
Cling onto obeying and applying it to your life.
Cling onto loving and worshipping Jesus.
Cling onto prayer alone and with others
Cling onto fellowship and having a church to belong to.
Cling onto being discipled and pastored ;where you can know love and be accountable.
Cling onto your faith in Jesus Christ coz everything will try to shake you away from it.
There is life for the cling on.
