Matt Richards

Matthew 11:11 Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
Least : smallest in amount, extent, or significance
What a mind-blowing scripture.
John the Baptist, was a mighty man of God. In fact, here it says no one came close to him. No one. He was by far the greatest.
But the least, the smallest, the most insignificant one in the new covenant is greater than the best of the best in the old covenant. Whoa! That's just too much to take in.
I don't begin to say I fully comprehend it, but I believe the Word.
Could it be that the work of the Cross, the work of grace in a believer is so perfect and is so much greater than the previous agreement in the old testament.
And therefore, the least of these under grace is mightier than John the Baptist under law?
Never underestimate 'the least of these.' In Jesus the least is always the greatest.
On a side note, the day of the Christian superstar is over. God will use the least, most insignificant person, or church for that matter; just because He can.
When someone is least, God gets the most, the most Glory.
In a world, even a churchianity world of self promotion, hype, competition, sucking up to ministries, alliances and tribes. Know who you are in Christ. Be the least.
I am cool with that. I have nothing to prove. Anything good in me is Jesus. And Jesus is enough.
In the Kingdom, less is more. Least is greatest.
Are you one of the least of these?
The least I want you to know today in Jesus, if Born again you are not insignificant. You are loved and are great and God will use you for His Glory
Prayer:
Father forgive me for playing the religious game and trying to look good. I can't do religion or shows. Thank You that in Christ I am secure, I am significant, I qm loved, I am cherished, I am accepted Thank You for the perfect work of the cross today in Jesus' name amen.
