Keep Running. Don't Lose Heart
Psalm 27:13-14 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!
You know this covid lockdown thing can really get to you. At the beginning the 'church' ( including myself) was like we are reaching so many people, what a great opportunity etc. etc. But the reality, to be quite honest is quite different; it's just pants. Many people shipwrecked, lonely, backslidden, some have even ended their life. No one thought it would last this long or that the church would be so restricted in worship. We are in fact all zoomed out. This verse in Psalm 27 really jumped out at me yesterday for someone in particular, but really it's for all of us. It's for me, and at this time it's for His Church for sure. In a lockdown culture where the religious are playing the government game; it's easy to lose heart. Message says 'what would have become of me if I hadn't believed?' Yesterday we did our first inside illegal service. (Yep you heard me right.) But you know what before you jump up and down in the comments section; I don't care if you're against that. I really don't. I'm just not playing anymore. Peoples' lives are at stake. (In short, someone suicidal came last night and the Glory of God touched them and we were all blessed) in essence God wasn't deterred by opinions or political correctness, but turned up. (So next time text Him not me with your disdain for illegal church meetings lol). I'm here to tell someone today. Don't lose heart. Don't lose heart. Believe. Believe you will see Revival. Believe you're coming through. Believe you will see the goodness of the Lord in your life this year. Things might feel oppressive, might look like it's getting worse but we are on the brink of a mighty move of God and you are part of that. Don't lose heart, Don't quit. Don't stop running. Many years ago Beth and me were training for a marathon. We were doing a 10 mile training run one day when I answered a phone call and got some bad news. You know I was truly gutted after the call and all strength and passion to run left me. I was gutted. I lost heart. I was just unable to run. I'm here to tell someone today not to quit. The news is fake. Don't lose heart. Keep running. Devil wants you down, wants you distracted, wants you to give up, wants you to feel there's no future. But Jesus wants to bring you life. Wants you to know there is great things ahead for you for me for His Church. Wait on God today. Take courage. Choose to believe, let God strengthen your heart. Prayer:
Father I have lost heart at times help me. I choose today to wait on You. To spend time with You. I take courage, strengthen my heart. I renounce the that l iam better off dead. I announce the truth that I have a great future. I believe I will see the goodness of the Lord this year thank You for Hope today in Jesus name, Amen.
