Psalm149:4 For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation and adorn the wretched with victory. Let the saints be joyful in the glory and beauty [which God confers upon them]; let them sing for joy upon their beds.
Here's the thing. God loves me. He loves to spend time with me. Jesus gets pleasure in my company.
Sounds really arrogant and self-centred, but you know it's not. I was made to bring Him joy.
When I am happy and full of life, when I enjoy Jesus; that makes Him happy. He loves it.
It's absolutely incredible that I can bring a smile to Jesus' face. I can make Him laugh. And when I smile and when I laugh it makes Him smile and laugh too.
I can live my life to bless Him. I can include Jesus daily in my daily walk and share experiences, joys and pains big things, small things all shared with Him.
He is not only interested: but what blows my mind is He actually loves my company.
Sometimes I don't even love my own company. But Jesus is my greatest fan, my greatest advocate, my greatest friend. He loves me more than I could ever love myself. He loves me on bad days and good, scars and warts and all.
I am loved. I am my beloved's and He is mine and His banner over me is love.
Jesus at the end of the day..I wanna make You smile.
Prayer:
Father today thank You that You love me. You love to spend time with me. Thank You I can bring You pleasure today. I can make You smile. I choose to enjoy You today and bring You joy in Jesus' name amen.
