Roman's 13:11-14 "And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts."
In light of everything that's happened and been happening, the prayer that I keep finding myself praying is, "Lord, I want to be where You've called me to be, doing what You've called me to do. Let me be found faithfull until the very end."
And it seems this year has been a year of grace to prepare the wineskin of what life needs to be in order to stand strong through the next days, weeks, months, and years ahead.
There are some things in my own walk, that I tolerated in 2019 that I now just can't...and won't.
There's a new unction and an urgency in my spirit, that won't allow me to be complacent anymore.
It's like I'm more awake to the needs of the hour, and I'm more ready, more willing, more keen in my senses, more hungry for God, more hungry for the word and less hungry for the things of this world.
Learning to live in a state of readiness.
There is still a lot t of work to be done, but I believe that there's a grace to reach for the higher standard, not driven by strain or striving in the flesh, but by faith and hunger.
This is a season to let the Spirit of God set the pace, where prayer increases and intensifies, revelation and scripture will burn in your heart more and more, Love and compassion towards others will increase, and praise and worship will flow with new passion and love towards God.
As these things increase, there's less time and less space for the distractions, and the darkness of the world to creep in. The armour of light expels darkness!
Hallelujah!
Prayer:
Father help us to walk how You want us to, help us to live ready, live alert and be found faithful when Jesus comes back! Thank You for the special grace to pray and worship! Help us to keep it simple, to let go of anything that slows us down, and to grab hold of what is good. In Jesus' name, Amen.
