Hebrews 10:24,25 And let us consider and give-attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities, Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.
We need each other. The Message says let's see how inventive we can be in encouraging one another and helping out.
We are not called to be nomads or orphans, but part of a family. We need each other. We may not agree 100% on everything but so what? We need each other.
We are family. I need you and you need me watching over, stirring up in the things of God, correcting, warning, and generally egging on to continue the call of God in our lives.
There was a song in the early 90s that had the lyrics "I'm too sexy for my shirt." Please don't take this the wrong way, but I can see many Right said Fred Christians with Tee-Shirts on saying "I'm too spiritual for my church".
Don't be too spiritual to go to church. Be part of the solution: you are church. The body needs you. Don't be deceived. The devil thought he was too spiritual and look what happened to him.
Prayer:
Father forgive me for putting being right above being family. Help me to be part of the solution. Help me not to focus on the minors at expense of the majors. Help me to be family to many to encourage in love. In Jesus' Name Amen.
