Heart, Zeal, And Chariots

Aiden Matthams

2 Kings 10:15-16 "Now when he departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab, coming to meet him; and he greeted him and said to him, “Is your heart right, as my heart is toward your heart?” And Jehonadab answered, “It is.” Jehu said, “If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand, and he took him up to him into the chariot. Then he said, “Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD.” So they had him ride in his chariot."

Jehu was the guy who killed Jezebel. He was zealous for the Lord. He was on fire for God, that's why he was anointed king.

But this scripture represents the heart of Jesus.

In these last days that we are living in, the Lord is looking for HEARTS that are right towards Him, and full of ZEAL.

Jesus is zealous. And He's calling out to the crazy ones, the hungry ones, the extreme Christian's who are ZEALOUS!

When you have a heart towards God and full of Zeal (energy and passion) for His kingdom, that's what really gets results.

Half hearted Christianity doesn't get the job done.

He's saying, "If you REALLY are zealous, then take my hand and get on the chariot with me."

When God moves, you have to run with it.

You have to "ride it like you stole it".

I just feel to release this as a prophetic invitation to be more on fire than ever before. To be more keen, more hungry, more bold, more extreme than before in service, obedience, and passion for the kingdom of God.

Ask the lord to increase the Zeal in your heart. Ask yourself, "what would happen if I really went for it with everything?"

Be radical! Jesus was radical!

Prayer:

Lord I want to have a heart towards Yours and a heart on fire for Your kingdom!

Fill me with ZEAL and let me get on the Chariot! In Jesus' name amen!
