Have you got a Consultant? (Take it to the Lord in prayer)

Matt Richards

Joshua 9:6,14 And they went to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal and said to him and the men of Israel, We have come from a far country; so now, make a covenant with us... So the [Israelite] men partook of their food and did not consult the Lord.

------ In this story the people of Gibeon were frightened there time had come to be defeated by God's people. So, craftily they pretended to be from a distant country and asked to make an agreement or covenant, a truce if you will of peace with God's people. The mistake the children of Israel made is they believed these people, and did not consult God.They got conned into compromise. - 'What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and grief's to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! Oh, what peace we often forfeit, Oh, what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer!' - Joseph M. Scriven You know you can be on the victory road. Doing so amazing, so good you forget to pray. Devil knows you will defeat him, by normal means, so craftily brings people and decisions in your life to compromise you. To tie you up.These people come looking to come alongside you . Maybe you feel sorry for them, maybe you think you can help them. Whatever the reason, before long you let your guard down and make peace with the things you should have overcome. The devil is on the run and knows his time is short. If he can't get you in battle, he will try to get you into wrong relationships .In compromise. So Include God in your decisions. Include God in your agreements, include God in your relationships. You have the best Consultant in the world, in fact the universe. So why not consult Him today and: 'take everything to God in prayer.' Prayer:

Father forgive me for making hasty decisions. For not consulting You. I choose today to seek Your direction over relationships and agreements no matter how good they appear in Jesus Name Amen. https://youtu.be/YTpUQO0aryw
