Have you got a Consultant? (Take it to the Lord in prayer)
Joshua 9:6,14 And they went to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal and said to him and the men of Israel, We have come from a far country; so now, make a covenant with us... So the [Israelite] men partook of their food and did not consult the Lord.

So, craftily they pretended to be from a distant country and asked to make an agreement or covenant, a truce if you will of peace with God's people. The mistake the children of Israel made is they believed these people, and did not consult God.They got conned into compromise. - 'What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and grief's to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! Oh, what peace we often forfeit, Oh, what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer!' - Joseph M.
