Psalm 109:1-4 Do not keep silent, O God of my praise! For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful Have opened against me; They have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, And fought against me without a cause. In return for my love they are my accusers, But I give myself to prayer.
People are fickle. Even Jesus had a Judas. There are times there will be people in your life that you trust and love that turn against you without a cause.
They will lie and slander you and surround you with hatred. They will accuse you of all sorts of things and try to deceive many.
It happened to the Psalmist here. It will at some time happen to you. At these times don't retaliate. Don't even try to defend your name. Forgive and give yourself to prayer.
Don't put it on Facebook "they did this to me they said this" etc. Don't phone a friend for sympathy or any other way try to sort out; give yourself to prayer. Pray for them.
It's enough for God to know. He knows the truth and that's enough. Prayer changes things. Prayer is the answer. When it all goes wrong and people speak evil against you. Give yourself to prayer.
The Haters are gonna Hate..so the Pray-ers gotta Pray.
Prayer:
Father I choose not to be taken by wicked words spoken against me. You know the truth and You are my defence. I choose to give myself to prayer. Thank You that You stand at my right hand and defend and save me. Help me to be a prayer warrior this week and bless those that speak evil against me now in Jesus' Name Amen.
