Exodus 4:10,13 But Moses pleaded with the LORD, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled." But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else.”
God calls and chooses who He wants. 'We just can't figure God out.' (William gypsy Lee) Here is Moses with a stutter, a speech impediment; who is unable to talk without getting tongue tied. But called of God Here is Moses saying :"send someone else better qualified." But here's the thing; Moses was the man for the Job, disability and all. God had called him. And here's the stranger thing: God didn't heal him of his problem, or send him for speech therapy or something. He just sent him as he was (albeit reluctantly with Aaron) who from what i read did nothing. How about you.? Have you been called to deliver a message to a people group, assigned a ministry or given a God job to do? Do you like Moses feel inadequate? Are you waiting first to be healed ? Are you wanting God to send someone else? Maybe, just maybe, your the man or woman that is the answer to your own prayers. Maybe there are better looking people, more qualified, more eloquent people even out there ; but maybe you are the person for the job. Maybe as your reading this today , you need to say yes to the call. No more excuses. There's a generation of unqualified, stutterers coming who are going to tell the devil to 'let Gods people go.' and they will bring a mighty deliverance to the church. God uses people with disabilities. God wants to use you.
Prayer:
Father forgive me for making excuses. I choose to accept the call. Send me and use me in spite of my shortcomings and disabilities today in Jesus name amen
