God Knows How To Rescue You

Matt Richards

2 Peter 2:4-9 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked (for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard); then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority.

You know many Christians have faced many problems, temptations, and trials over the years.

In this passage it talks about Noah and his family being preserved from the judgment of the flood. It also talks about Lot being rescued from the wicked Sodom and Gomorrah.

It then goes on to say and this is the part that jumped out at me this morning,

'then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials'.

You know you might be going through some stuff right now. But I want you to know that God KNOWS what you're going through.

Not only does God know what you're going through, He KNOWS how to rescue you, to preserve you, to help you.

There might be bad things ahead. It might even get worse as economic collapse follows Covid.

But know this, God knows how to rescue you from this situation and separate you from this trial and preserve you from all harm.

Prayer:

Father thank You that You are with me in the storm. If You can deliver Noah and Lot You can deliver me. Thank You for rescuing and preserving me from harm today in Jesus' name Amen.
