2 Thesalonians 2:15 With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter.
---
In the ever changing craziness of this world; where anything goes. If it feels good do it. "I've got to go with my heart "( Even if its completely contradictory to the bible and my heart is wicked above all things )
I choose, we choose as a tribe as a church as a fellowship of believers to believe the authority of the bible.
On rollercoasters when things get unexpected or rough I am not one of these people with my hands in the air.
No, quite the opposite:
I grip the hand rail in front of me and hold on for dear life.
The same goes on a motorbike when i go fast i hold on tighter.
What's Paul referring to here? In this chapter he is talking about people who are deceived, lawless and 'refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them.' He says at these times get a grip.
You know we have roller coaster moments in life and the fellowship and at these times i encourage you to get a grip. Stand firm on the Word of God that doesn't change to suit a Jerry springer audience.
Get a firm grip on the teaching found in this Bible. It is true..it is life changing. In fact it is a manual for life. It is my anchor and my compass.
It could get rough out there, so you need to, i need to just get a grip.
Prayer:
Father we just truth. We choose the truth of the Bible even if it cintadicts the narrative of a generation. Holy Spirit help us and lead us into all truth. We renounce deception and lawlessness. Thank You for a narrow path that lead to life today in Jesus name amen.
