Psalm 92:10 But my horn (emblem of excessive strength and stately grace) You have exalted like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil.
Oil lubricates. Gets all the parts moving smoothly (not rubbing against each other). If you don't put oil in your car, then the engine will eventually cease.
Likewise we need fresh oil. Oil in the bible represents the Holy Spirit. I need a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit's oil regularly.
When I start getting cranky with people, or just intolerant it's like a warning light has come on in my life. I need to stop, pull over and get a top-up.
Things not running smooth, feel grumpy, or irritated by small things?
Maybe like me you are in need of fresh oil.
Prayer:
Father forgive me for being intolerant. I am running low on oil right now. Fill me up with fresh oil. Let the Holy Spirit flow into my life right now changing everything making everything smooth, in Jesus' Name Amen.
