Everything He Does Shall Prosper

Aiden Matthams

Psalm 1 "Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper"

I love this psalm! It's simple. If you go after God, get rid of the wrong company, and get in to God's word, meditate on His word, and delight yourself in Him, then blessings will overflow in your life. You become strong like a tree planted by the river, and you become fruitful. Don't try to produce fruit, just delight yourself in God and meditate on His word and fruit will come naturally. I love how it says, "...whatever he does shall prosper." That's a good promise! If you are walking with God and enjoying Him and meditating in His word, whatever you put your hand to will be blessed! Your work will be blessed. Your witness will be blessed, ministry will be blessed, family life will be blessed... When you're walking with God, He blesses what you do. Sometimes we can be afraid to do new things because of fear.

Fear of failure, fear of getting it wrong or messing it up. If you let these fears control you, you end up doing nothing. But this promise says that if you are walking with Jesus and living for Him, then what you do WILL prosper. Maybe God has put opportunities in your path. A Job, a ministry opportunity, whatever it is, but you are scared of failing. Don't let this stop you. Step out in faith. Check yourself today. Are you walking with God? Are you in His word, and enjoying Him? If so, then allow the blessing of the Lord to overflow in what you do! Prayer:

Father thank You for Your blessings! I chose to delight myself in You! Help me to meditate on Your laws and keep myself from wrong company. Thank You that everything I put my hand to will prosper today in Jesus' name. Amen
