1 Peter 5:8 Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
Follow on from yesterdays devotional.
Don't be too spiritual for your church.
Don't isolate.
Don't say things like "we are the church, so therefore I don't need to go".
You need, I need fellowship with other believers.
I have often watched these wildlife programmes, you know the ones from Africa. Often I have seen big cats like lions following a herd of gazelles or zebras or the like.
The lions are looking for their next meal, looking to devour.
In the herd the zebra or gazelle is safe, but when one gets spooked and separated its game over and they get eaten.
Don't get separated from church or other believers. Many people get separated because of offense, because of passivity (not feeling it's important).
Whatever church you go to: go. Be active, if your having a hard time, tell others so they can surround you. If others are having a vulnerable time surround them with support n prayer, and kick devil butt.
But don't be a loner. You were born for fellowship.
The picture is when the devil (or corona for that matter) comes to church thinking he can pick you off, but then has to face your brothers n sisters..he will flee.
Prayer:
Father forgive me for separating, being independent, being offended, being proud. Thank You for fellow Christian's, thank You for church. Help me to be part of the solution and support my brothers and sisters today in Jesus' name Amen.
