Mark 16:9 Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demon.
I love the fact that when Jesus was risen from the dead, He walked about and visited people. How cool would that have been?
The first person He appeared to was Mary Magdalene, a lady whom He had set free from demons. A broken lady.
He could have seen His mum first or even His disciples; but no, He chose someone that had been set free from demons.
Maybe He was saying, 'hey Mary! I am alive, so you know what you can live also. Your past is dealt with. You are not forgotten.'
Many people feel ashamed when they get free from demons; just don't.
When the meetings at Radical get on fire, like recently we see demons manifest. Many people get uncomfortable with that. Me, I love that because it shows me that the devil cannot stay hidden and has to go.
I hate the devil, but love people. I love people so hate the devil for causing depression, suicidality, compulsions, addictions, etc. to people.Â
Jesus loved people enough to cast the demons out, then make it a priority to encounter them. (Even before others).
I am believing for a multitude to get free from demons then encounter Jesus first and tell others.
Then like the Garderene, become ministers.
Trophies of grace.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that You visited Mary first. You are the deliverer and the one that visits those who are delivered. I want to encounter You today in Jesus' name, Amen.
