Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the LORD your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
You know we get many choices in life.
Who we hang out with, what we eat, what we do with our time, who we marry, what job we do, and who we serve.
For many people they feel they don't have choices, but that's not true they really do.
Many people feel they are stuck. Many feel they are under a curse, that whatever they do goes wrong. And this is true to an extent as many are under a curse.
But here's the good news; it is a choice. No one can choose for you. The choice is yours. But you don't have to stay cursed.
You can love the Lord, obey His voice and hold fast to Him. Or you can do it your way. You can be as close to Jesus as you want to be.
One way leads to life and blessing, the other to death and cursing it's as simple as that.
It's life and death, blessing or cursing. It's all a choice. Choose life, choose Jesus.
You are to a certain extent a product of your choices.
But you don't have to stay addicted, broken, messed up, and cursed.
You can know life and life abundantly in Jesus.
It's not about stuff, "choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers".
Because stuff won't do for you. Choose life, choose Jesus.
No Jesus no life. Know Jesus, know life.
Prayer:
Father thank You that no matter how bad things have turned out in the past, I choose You now. I choose to love You and obey You, and cling to You today in Jesus' name amen.
