Boldness and Access

Aiden Matthams

Ephesians 3: 10-12 "...to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him."

Firstly, I love that God is using His church to show off His manifold wisdom to the powers and principalities (spiritual powers) in the heavens.

It's an 'in your face' to Satan when the church rises up to be what we're supposed to be! Victory belongs to Jesus! Amen.

In that last verse it says, "..in Him we have boldness and access with confidence through faith."

Boldness and access go alongside each other.

And there are some breakthroughs that can only really be accessed through boldness. Maybe it's not about how much faith we have but we just need a bit more boldness.

Even a small amount of faith, when combined with unapologetic, 'in your face' boldness can accomplish something incredible.

Just like blind Bart when he heard that Jesus was passing by, he started crying out that Jesus would have mercy, even whilst the crowds rebuked him for it, he didn't care what they thought of him. Without that courage, he may have never regained his sight.

Or like when Peter, the one who had denied Jesus just a few days before, stood up on the day of Pentecost and preached a really hardcore gospel message to 5000 people! What a breakthrough! What a miracle! What redemption!

Boldness gets access. Some encounters will only come through boldness. Some miracles can only be attained when boldness is applied.

Also, demonic forces in the atmosphere over areas and places must be adressed cast down through prayer and boldness.

Matthew 11:12 "...the kingdom of the heavens is taken by violence and the violent seize it."

That's why the primary tool Satan uses against God's people is fear. Because without fear, he loses control, and he loses territory.

So, let's rise up and lay claim to the breakthroughs, lay claim to revival, lay claim to the power of God, not ashamed and not concerned by what anyone thinks of us. AMEN

Prayer:

Father God we ask for the gift of boldness! Help us to lay claim to what you have and to access the treasure that's available through boldness. Give us courage Lord, even in the face of trials, help us to stand strong in the power of the gospel, in Jesus' name, Amen.
