Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty and floods on the dry ground:I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring.
This verse was one that was fundamental to the Hebridean revival in 1950s in Scotland. There are several well known teachers that said that we shouldn't be thirsty as we have it all.
There is some truth in being satisfied with Jesus. But I know also that there are times I have become so hungry and thirsty for Him and it's His Holy Spirit that has caused it. It's always a set up for an encounter. Are you thirsty? If we lose our thirst it's a bad sign. There's a Holy dissatisfaction in me that cries out. I know there is more. We can see Revival in the UK again if we are thirsty.
Prayer:
Father I confess I have not been thirsty; give me a fresh thirst for the things of You. Give me Holy cravings for Your righteousness. Do it again Lord; floods on the dry ground, our children being filled with You. Our land flooded with Your presence. In Jesus' Name Amen.
