Are you done yet?

Matt Richards

1 Peter 2:1 So get rid of all evil behaviour. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.

---- You know we have people recently come to Faith in Jesus. People from broken backgrounds, addiction and prison. But whether you are a new Christian or one that's been Saved for many years you still got to come to that place of obedience. That same place of surrender. That's the place you grow up. That place of full Salvation. You've got to get to that place where you are just fed up with your old life. Done with the lies, the thieving, done with the drugs, done with the sleeping around. Done with the fighting, done with cursing people. Done with the crime, Done with living a double life. done with the drama, just done with your old self really. You see Jesus didn't come to improve your life; but to kill your old life and make you brand new. I see many people come to Jesus coz they are hurt, messed up, depressed because of their lifestyle and their poor choices, and that's great; but they are not done with their old self yet, they just want relief from the pain they are in right now. So it doesn't work long term. You see this Jesus thing really works. Really makes all the difference. Really transforms lives. But it works when you are just done with it all. Done with your old life. Done in. When you come to the end of yourself when your done: right there and right then Jesus starts to make something beautiful of Your life. When you give Him full control. When you surrender. So today the question is are you done yet? Prayer:

Father I am done. Done with my sin, done with my bad behaviour, done with doing things my way, done with my self effort. Done with trying to help myself. Forgive me, i choose You Jesus.Take full control of my life Be the my Lord and Saviour today in Jesus name amen.
