Joshua 3:4 Yet there shall be a distance between you and it, about 2,000 cubits in length. Do not come near it, in order that you may know the way you shall go, for you have not passed this way before.
'You've never been on this road before.'
MSG You know there are times in our Christian walk where we hear the Holy Spirit say, "come on keep going." But here in this story the church had been keeping going faithfully around in circles for forty years, (because if disobedience.) And the voice came to consecrate themselves and change direction for them not be too familiar with the journey, because they have not been this way before. You know we are in times when we need to stop and re-route. Be re-directed. Listen to direction at this time because as a church, as believers we have never been this way before. You know Joshua was about to see mighty victory. A fulfilment of promises missed by the previous generation. If he had not paid attention and had wanted to carry on the same, he would have missed it. Get ready church as we move into the promised land. Listen out for direction and be open to new routes, new expressions, and new ways of doing things. We've not been this way before. How exciting. This is the new path that will lead to revival. Prayer:
Father thank You that You are doing a new thing. We don't need to panic or try to go to the same direction but listen to Your voice. Thank You for disturbing our going round in circles thank You that we are destined for revival. We choose today to listen in Jesus' name Amen.
