Psalm 144:1 "Praise the LORD, who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle."
Sooner or later, we all find out that conflict is a part of life. This world is never going to be a "utopia", as much as people want It to be, there will always be seasons of battle. In our christian walk, learning how to do warfare is so necessary. Many christians neglect this side of things and suffer great loss because of it...and worse still, they sometimes even blame God for their losses. But what we need to know and grasp, is that the enemy is out to steal, kill, and destroy, but we have been equipped with weapons, authority to use against his schemes. In times of hardship, remember that God is using these times to train you and I for battle. Learn how to fight and win!
Verses 9 and 10 say: "I will sing a new song to you, O God! I will sing your praises with a ten-stringed harp. For you grant victory to kings! You rescued your servant David from the fatal sword."
One of king David's keys to victory was praise. Learning how to praise through is important.
If your emotions are under atack, or your mind is full of stress, or there's some trouble in your family, it's time to get praising. Prayer:
Father thank You for teaching me to war. Thank You that the weapons You have given are mighty for pulling down strongholds of the enemy. We praise You today, and we thank You for the victory, in Jesus' name, Amen.
