Matt Richards
Hebrews 10:23-25 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Be a stirrer. Be someone that stirs up people in the things of God. Someone, that as the Amplified puts it: that 'stimulates and incites to love and helpful deeds and noble acts.'
In a world of discouragers and critiques be different. Be an encourager.
Someone that sees the potential and stirs up those embers into flame.
It's not a competition. I don't have to put you down to be promoted. In fact I don't need to be promoted at all full stop. When you win, I win. We all win, we are on the same team.
I truly want to see Christians, that is the body of Christ go from 'stir crazy' to being 'crazy stirred up with Holy passion for Jesus.'
This season might be difficult, but keep going after Jesus. Keep thanking Him, praising Him and seeking His face. Trust Him today that He is bigger than all your problems and it's not all over for you.
You are a winner in Christ, you are an overcomer. And all of this stuff you're going through is working together for your good.
So today: Be stirred up then go and stir up others.
Be a stirrer.
Prayer:
Father thank You for encouraging us. Thank You, You are faithful to all Your promises. Forgive me for being critical, help me to stir people up in the faith today in Jesus' name, amen.
