Making Jesus Known

Matt Richards

Ephesians 3 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

You know there is something powerful about the church standing in their city, in their market place and preaching the Bible, the Word of God. There's something so powerful and so significant about making Jesus known. Making the mystery of His grace and His Gospel known to all. Not just to people, but to angels and demons. Public, outdoor preaching may have lost its popularity with the church, but you know it has great power. Men and women of old like Finney, Wesley, Booth knew the power of preaching, of declaring the Gospel, the Word of God in the open air. I believe the lockdown of the church building has set us up again for the opportunity for open air, public proclamations. To publicly as a church make known the manifold wisdom of God. To bring light to everyone. To turn the lights on in our City and make Him known. Prayer:

Father thank You that we can make You known in our City. Help us as Your church to turn the lights on, and make You famous today in Jesus' name, Amen.
