Let Me Entertain You (Overturning The Table Of Entertainment)

Matt Richards

Luke 17:20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation;"

This Christian walk is not to be spectate, but participated in.

Danger of churches today is they cater to entertain people rather than provoke them to be active and participate. They just don't make disciples. If church becomes like the greatest showman, then the members just become an audience who just observe.

Yes they sing, they clap, they may amen in the right places; and some even pay tithes, but in all fairness they are just observers.

This is not the Kingdom of God.

This God thing, this Jesus thing is to be lived.

To be experienced. You don't go to a theatre called the church, you are the church.

When you gather together you should have something to bring. You should be authentic community, functioning in your gift and calling. You should have an output. We don't go to church to watch a band and sing other people's songs but to sing our own new song to the Lord. It's about you lifting up Jesus. We don't go to church to hear others pray it should be a house of prayer for all. We need a church culture change. Jesus wants His church back. Let me entertain you..er no thanks. Prayer:

Father forgive me for being lazy and wanting to be entertained. I choose to participate and live for You. I choose to actively give You glory. In Jesus' name Amen.
