1 Corinthians 1:26 Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don't see many of "the brightest and the best" among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn't it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these "nobodies" to expose the hollow pretensions of the "somebodies"?
God calls people that the world overlooks, abuses, and exploits. He calls the nobodies of this world.
The King James Version of the bible says that God has chosen the foolish things of this world and the base things of the world. The word 'BASE' means: worthless, lowly, foolish, weak. The no-things of this world. Of no-birth. The despised ones.
Feel marginalised, don't fit in?
Not born with a silver spoon in your mouth?
Downtrodden?
God says He calls people just like You and Me so He can get ALL the Glory.
In a world of elevating the good-looking, talented, and rich. God says I'm different to that...
for Me it's all about the 'Base'
Prayer:
Father thank You that You chose me inspite of my background, even though I am not the best educated or most talented or the obvious choice. Thank You that I am chosen and called by You. Help me to live in my call and purpose today to give You all the Glory in Jesus' Name, Amen.
