Here I Am Send Me

Aiden Matthams

Isaiah 6:6-8 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me."

This prophet, Isaiah, had a powerful encounter with the glory of God. You know what? We need encounters with the living God. It's my belief, that every Christian should see and experience God's touch first hand.

And I believe every one of us needs His fire on the altar of our hearts and the burning coal to cleanse our lips. The fire is holy.

But, the next step then, is to go. We are saved, forgiven, and filled with his power, so that we can then fulfil His purpose for our lives.

Many people just want an experience, but after all that, end up sat in church or sat at home with no desire to fulfil the commission for their lives.

But with God, there are needs to flow. He sends the power, so that it flows through us to others.

Isaiah didn't say "here I am! Bless me" or "here I am! Heal me" or "hear I am! Do this, do that for me." He said "Send me Lord!! I want to run with the fire!"

Father, thank You for showing us Your power and Your Glory. Thank You for cleansing us with fire from the altar. My prayer is that You send us. Let each one of us fulfil our potential and purpose as sons and daughters of God.

Let us run with the fire, in Jesus' name! Amen.
