Flourish

Matt Richards

Psalm 92:12-13 The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful]; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible]. Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God. [Growing in grace] they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap [of spiritual vitality] and [rich in the] verdure [of trust, love, and contentment].

Flourish means grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way:

grow, thrive, prosper, grow/do well, develop, burgeon

'If you do something with a flourish, you do it with one big, noticeable movement'.

I listened to a gardening programme the other day on the radio. There was a man phoning in about a couple of plants that had got so big he was having difficulty. The expert gardeners were suprised these specific variety of plants were so flourishing and said it was because of his amazing soil.

You know where you dwell, where you live, where you are planted determines your growth.

Spend time abiding with Jesus and planted in a good church and you will reach beyond your potential and flourish.

There are many spiritual pot plants that go from church to church or have no real home soil, no roots, no planting.

They only develop to a small size and often struggle.

Want to be long lived, stable, incorruptible, useful, full of vitality, love, contentment. Want to grow, thrive, develop, be healthy and fruitful?

I do...and I believe there are some right now that are going from survival to revival. From under-nourished to flourished.

There's a 'big noticeable movement' coming where those planted are going to flourish. From barreness to fruitfulness.

It will be noticable. People will say, "wow we have never seen such growth or development, it's Jesus."

Time to be planted in Jesus, to be planted in the soil of church.

Prayer:

Father thank You I'm destined to flourish, keep me planted in You, Your presence, Your Word and in church in Jesus' Name Amen.
